Privacy Policy

Data controller: Murat (Norway), who runs K-Dramazing. You can reach us at hello@kdramazing.com or through the form on our Contact page.

Using the site without an account

You can use K-Dramazing without signing in. Your language, theme, watchlist, quiz progress and cookie choice are then stored only in your own browser (localStorage) and are not sent to us.

Optional account

You can create an account with Google or with a one-time code sent to your email. We store your email address, your name from Google (if you use Google), the nickname you choose, your watchlist, and your XP and streak points in our own database on our own server. Your nickname and points appear on the public leaderboard; your email address is never shown or shared. Sign-in codes are sent through our email provider.

Contact form

When you send the contact form we store your name, email address, topic and message on our own server, only to answer your request. The record is deleted once your request has been handled.

Comments, polls and recommendations

When you comment on an article we store your account ID, nickname, comment and its date on our server. An editor reviews comments before they appear publicly with your nickname. Poll votes are stored with your account ID so each account votes once; only totals are shown.

If you ask for personal recommendations, the titles and statuses in your watchlist and your optional wish are sent to Google Gemini to choose dramas from our catalogue. We do not send your name or email.

Technical data

Like every website, our server processes your IP address when you visit. We use it briefly in memory to protect the site against abuse (rate limiting); our hosting provider may keep it in short-lived server logs.

Services that receive data from your browser

  • Google, only if you choose to sign in with Google.
  • TMDB (image.tmdb.org) for drama posters.
  • TVMaze and Wikipedia for show information and summaries.
  • Apple iTunes for 30-second soundtrack previews.
  • Google Fonts for the fonts used on the site.

These providers see your IP address when your browser loads their content. Some of them, including Google, may process data outside your country.

Advertising

K-Dramazing does not show ads and sets no advertising or analytics cookies today. If we add advertising later, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent before any such cookie is set.

Visitor statistics

We count visits with Umami, an open-source analytics tool that runs on our own server. It sets no cookies, does not store your IP address and does not follow you across other websites; we only see aggregate numbers such as which pages are read and which platform or country visitors come from.

Your rights (GDPR / KVKK)

You can ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and object to its processing. Signed-in users can delete their account and all stored data, including comments and votes, at any time with the "Delete my account" button. For any other request, use the contact form with the topic "Data protection request"; we answer within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 16. Please do not sign in if you are under 16.
